Overview

A leading regional law firm is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead its technology strategy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity efforts. The CIO will align IT initiatives with firm-wide legal operations, support evolving work environments, and implement innovations including AI, automation, and advanced analytics.

This is a pivotal executive role where technology meets legal service delivery—ideal for a strategic IT leader with the vision to shape enterprise systems, drive digital transformation, and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure across a multi-office firm.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a firmwide IT strategy aligned with legal and operational goals.

  • Oversee legal technology platforms and cross-office collaboration tools.

  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives and enforce strong data governance frameworks.

  • Implement AI, automation, and analytics solutions to streamline workflows and boost efficiency.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on emerging legal tech innovations.

  • Ensure secure, efficient, and scalable IT infrastructure across all firm locations.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally in legal, consulting, or professional services.

  • Proven success managing senior-level IT teams and complex projects.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel to firm offices across multiple states.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, and highly collaborative environment.

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, SOX, or ISO standards is a plus.
