The Head of Operations – IT will play a pivotal role in leading enterprise-wide IT operations, driving efficiencies, and ensuring that infrastructure, applications, and digital services are delivered seamlessly across the business. This is a strategic leadership position for a seasoned IT operations executive ready to shape the future of our operational model in a fully remote, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

• Develop and execute the organization’s IT operational strategy to align with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on emerging technologies, operational efficiencies, and digital transformation opportunities.
• Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to modernize IT operations, improve service delivery, and increase scalability.

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

• Oversee all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, cloud services, network security, application management, and end-user support.
• Ensure operational uptime, reliability, and security of IT systems through best-in-class processes and tools.
• Establish service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics to drive accountability and quality outcomes.

Technology Governance & Risk Management

• Lead IT compliance, audit readiness, and risk management initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
• Champion cybersecurity strategies in partnership with the Information Security team to safeguard data and systems.
• Implement governance frameworks for system changes, incident management, and business continuity planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, and HR to ensure technology operations support organizational priorities.
• Act as a liaison between IT and business units to deliver integrated solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Drive operational alignment between IT teams and enterprise projects to achieve unified business outcomes.

Team Leadership & Development

• Build, lead, and mentor high-performing IT operations teams across diverse functions.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Implement workforce development plans to ensure teams remain skilled in emerging technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of progressive IT operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing enterprise-level IT operations in a Fortune 1000 or high-growth environment.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ITIL processes, and enterprise application management.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead remote, geographically distributed teams.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

💲 Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $356,000–USD 397,000 (based on experience)
