The Role

The Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role integrates global sales strategy with marketing innovation, ensuring that brand positioning, demand generation, and revenue acceleration are fully aligned.

As CSMO, you will lead a large, international organization of sales executives, marketing leaders, and digital strategists. You will be accountable for delivering top-line growth, market share expansion, and brand equity across multiple lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Sales Leadership: Develop and execute global sales strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth across technology and consumer goods sectors.

  • Integrated Marketing Strategy: Oversee all marketing functions, including brand, product marketing, digital, and demand generation, ensuring alignment with sales goals.

  • Customer & Market Insights: Champion customer intelligence and market analytics to guide decision-making, identify trends, and capture untapped opportunities.

  • Innovation & Digital Transformation: Leverage AI, automation, and advanced marketing technologies to optimize campaigns and personalize customer journeys.

  • Global Expansion: Drive international growth by opening new markets, forging partnerships, and tailoring go-to-market strategies by region.

  • Executive Engagement: Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors to set revenue priorities, shape investment strategies, and influence corporate vision.

  • Leadership & Culture: Inspire, coach, and grow diverse teams across geographies while instilling a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

Qualifications

As Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, you bring:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in Sales, Marketing, or Commercial Strategy, with at least 5+ years in executive roles.

  • Proven success in technology, SaaS, digital commerce, or consumer goods at scale.

  • Expertise in enterprise sales execution, marketing automation, brand strategy, and digital growth models.

  • Strong executive presence, with a history of influencing Boards and senior stakeholders.

  • Hands-on knowledge of CRM, MarTech, and Sales Enablement platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Adobe, Marketo).

  • Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
