PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Enterprise Risk Framework: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide risk management frameworks.

Risk Identification & Mitigation: Oversee identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial, operational, compliance, and strategic risks.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to U.S. and international regulatory requirements, including SEC, SOX, OCC, GDPR, and other global frameworks.

Governance & Controls: Partner with Audit, Legal, and Compliance teams to strengthen governance structures and internal controls.

Technology & Cyber Risk: Collaborate with IT and Security teams to assess risks related to digital transformation, cybersecurity, and third-party systems.

Business Continuity & Resilience: Oversee crisis management and business continuity planning across global operations.

Executive Reporting: Deliver risk reports and strategic insights to the CEO, CFO, CRO, and the Board’s Risk & Audit Committees.

Culture of Risk Awareness: Embed risk management principles into day-to-day operations across global teams.
Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education, and Abilities

15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Enterprise Risk, Compliance, or Audit, with at least 7+ years in executive or senior leadership roles.

Proven success in financial services, fintech, technology, or highly regulated global industries.

Deep knowledge of risk frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000, Basel), regulatory reporting, and compliance obligations.

Expertise in financial risk modeling, operational risk oversight, and emerging risk management practices.

Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or MBA preferred.

Professional certifications such as FRM, CRM, CERP, or CPA are highly valued.

Strong executive presence with Board-level reporting experience and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Strategic Support
The Director of Enterprise Risk acts as a strategic advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors, ensuring that risk management enables growth while safeguarding resilience. Key contributions include:
