PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Enterprise Accounting Oversight: Lead all aspects of corporate accounting, consolidations, and global financial reporting across multi-jurisdictional operations.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, SEC, and PCAOB standards, while staying ahead of evolving global accounting regulations.

  • Financial Integrity: Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and transparency in reporting for investors, regulators, and stakeholders.

  • Audit & Controls: Oversee internal controls, enterprise risk management, and the relationship with external auditors.

  • Systems & Technology: Champion the adoption of advanced ERP, AI-driven accounting tools, and automation to streamline reporting.

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead global accounting teams, building a high-performance culture rooted in integrity and accountability.

  • Board & Investor Relations: Partner with the CFO and CEO to deliver financial insights, reports, and forecasts directly to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee.

Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education, and Abilities

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, auditing, or controllership, with at least 7+ years in senior executive roles.

  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting requirements, and global accounting frameworks.

  • Proven success in financial services, technology, or highly regulated industries.

  • Strong expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, enterprise risk management, and M&A accounting.

  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA preferred.

  • CPA designation (required); additional certifications such as CMA or Chartered Accountant are highly valued.

  • Demonstrated leadership in building and managing large, cross-border accounting teams.

Strategic Support

The Chief Accounting Officer acts as a strategic partner to the CFO, CEO, and Board, ensuring financial clarity supports business growth and shareholder value. This includes:

  • Advising on capital allocation, IPO readiness, and M&A integration.

  • Providing insights into operational efficiency, margin improvement, and enterprise cost optimization.

  • Partnering with Treasury and FP&A on cash flow optimization and strategic investments.

  • Supporting enterprise ESG reporting and transparency in sustainability accounting.

Working Conditions
