We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Chief Data Officer (CDO) to join our executive leadership team. This role will be central to building an enterprise-wide data strategy, ensuring compliance, and positioning data as a key driver of growth and innovation.
Position Overview
The Chief Data Officer (CDO) will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive data strategy that supports business growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. This leader will manage all aspects of data governance, analytics, AI/ML adoption, and information architecture, while serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive team.
The role requires a strategic visionary who can see the big picture of how data fuels innovation, while also ensuring data is governed, accurate, and ethically used across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute a global data strategy that aligns with organizational goals.

Establish enterprise-wide governance frameworks to ensure quality, security, and compliance.

Serve as the executive advisor on all data-related initiatives, from analytics to digital transformation.
Analytics, Insights & Innovation

Lead advanced analytics initiatives to deliver actionable insights and predictive models.

Drive adoption of AI, machine learning, and big data solutions to improve decision-making.

Partner with product and technology teams to develop data-driven products and solutions.
Data Governance & Compliance

Oversee policies for data protection, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOX), and ethical AI.

Build controls and monitoring systems to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards.

Maintain transparency and accountability in all data operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Finance, Technology, Risk, Operations, and Marketing leaders to ensure data supports strategic initiatives.

Enable real-time data sharing and insights across business units.

Advocate for a data-first culture across the organization.
Team Development & Leadership

Build and mentor a high-performing data and analytics team.

Promote continuous learning, innovation, and leadership development within the data function.

Lead organizational change management for data-driven transformation initiatives.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or related field (PhD is a plus).

15+ years of progressive experience in data leadership roles, with at least 7+ years in senior executive positions.

Proven expertise in data governance, analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise data architecture.

Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks in finance and technology industries.

Experience leading enterprise data transformation at scale.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to align technical capabilities with business strategy and outcomes.
