PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Enterprise Planning Leadership: Direct demand, supply, and production planning across global markets to align with business goals.

  • Forecasting Excellence: Implement advanced forecasting models leveraging AI and predictive analytics to improve accuracy and adaptability.

  • Inventory Optimization: Oversee inventory strategies to reduce waste, manage costs, and ensure product availability across multiple regions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless planning alignment.

  • Technology & Tools: Champion the integration of ERP, APS (Advanced Planning Systems), and digital planning platforms.

  • Global Expansion Support: Lead planning efforts for new product launches, market entries, and large-scale transformations.

  • Performance Measurement: Define and report on KPIs that track forecast accuracy, supply chain resilience, and cost efficiencies.

  • Talent Development: Mentor and grow high-performing planning professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.

Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education, and Abilities

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in planning, supply chain, or operations management, with at least 5+ years in senior roles.

  • Proven success in manufacturing, consumer goods, automotive, or global supply chain industries.

  • Deep expertise in forecasting, inventory optimization, and demand/supply planning.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP, APS, and advanced planning analytics tools.

  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field preferred.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence global strategy while executing detailed planning programs.

Strategic Support

The Director of Planning serves as a strategic partner to the COO, CFO, and executive leadership, ensuring planning drives growth and operational resilience. This includes:

  • Designing global planning frameworks aligned with enterprise strategy.

  • Advising on capital allocation and resource planning decisions.

  • Supporting digital transformation initiatives by embedding predictive and AI-driven planning.

  • Driving sustainability efforts by integrating waste reduction and energy efficiency practices into planning models.

Working Conditions
