About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented Director of Supply Chain Planning to lead enterprise-wide forecasting, planning, analytics, and supply chain optimization. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence in demand planning, MRP systems, inventory forecasting, sourcing support, and reporting across our growing national supply chain network.
As the Director, you’ll partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Procurement to ensure planning processes align with business goals, improve forecasting accuracy, and support long-term profitability. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a passion for analytics, process design, and continuous improvement.
This is a remote role open to candidates across the U.S., ideal for experienced professionals in logistics, manufacturing, CPG, or enterprise supply chains looking to take the next strategic step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
📦 Demand Forecasting & Accuracy
•Build and maintain demand forecasts using NetStock (or similar platforms), continuously improving data quality and forecast precision.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align monthly forecasts with revenue and inventory targets.
•Track and report on forecast accuracy, identifying root causes of misses and areas for optimization.
•Maintain version control and ensure data integrity between forecasting systems and MRP tools.
🚚 Supply Planning & Inventory Optimization
•Oversee end-to-end supply planning processes with a focus on customer satisfaction, gross margin optimization, and warehouse efficiency.
•Lead strategies for safety stock, replenishment modeling, and inventory levels.
•Support planning around customer contracts, stocking agreements, and out-of-stock analysis.
•Develop tools to guide order planning, purchasing decisions, and inventory transfers between facilities.
🧩 MRP System Management
•Own configuration, optimization, and maintenance of MRP systems to ensure streamlined operations and accurate procurement signals.
•Partner with IT and procurement teams to drive improvements in automated replenishment and planning messages.
•Conduct regular master data reviews and provide governance for item setup and data accuracy.
🛠 Sourcing & Onboarding Support
•Collaborate with sourcing and commercial teams to support onboarding of new SKUs, customers, and locations.
•Provide data-backed analysis for vendor selection, cost modeling, and pricing decisions.
•Track supplier data, raw material indexes, and additional costs (e.g., freight, dunnage) to inform contract terms and supply chain stability.
📊 Analytics, Reporting & Strategy
•Lead the design of dashboards and executive-level reporting to drive visibility into supply chain performance.
•Develop and monitor KPIs to assess supply planning efficiency, fulfillment, and cost-effectiveness.
•Promote data governance and reporting standardization across the planning organization
Qualifications:
✔ 8–10+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand forecasting, or inventory analytics.
✔ Deep expertise in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., NetStock, SAP, Oracle) and supply chain analytics tools.
✔ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate in fast-paced environments.
✔ Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
✔ Experience in manufacturing, distribution, consumer goods, or logistics preferred.
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
