Position Overview

The Manager of Program Management (IT) will be responsible for leading large-scale IT programs, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all projects within the program portfolio are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Oversight

  • Lead multiple IT programs simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Define program scope, goals, and deliverables in partnership with executive sponsors.

  • Translate strategic vision into actionable project and program roadmaps.

Execution & Delivery

  • Oversee the full program lifecycle from initiation to delivery and closure.

  • Manage risks, dependencies, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Track and report program performance metrics to leadership.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, finance, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Facilitate communication and coordination across departments to achieve milestones.

  • Mentor and develop project managers, fostering a high-performance program management culture.

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish and enforce program governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct program reviews and audits to ensure efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business (MBA preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in IT program/project management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Proven ability to manage enterprise-level IT programs with budgets of $10M+ or larger.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, and digital transformation.

  • Expertise in program management frameworks (Agile, SAFe, PMI, or PRINCE2).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
