PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Global Manufacturing Strategy: Lead the enterprise-wide manufacturing strategy to optimize productivity, quality, cost, and sustainability.

  • Operational Excellence: Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and digital manufacturing practices across multiple sites, ensuring world-class performance standards.

  • Capacity & Scalability: Drive capacity planning, factory modernization, and global footprint optimization to align with growth strategies.

  • Technology & Automation: Champion adoption of advanced robotics, AI-enabled production systems, and smart factory initiatives.

  • Supply Chain Integration: Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial teams to ensure end-to-end alignment and execution.

  • Workforce Development: Mentor and inspire senior plant managers and manufacturing leaders, building a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with OSHA, ISO, and global environmental and safety regulations while embedding a proactive safety culture.

  • Executive Reporting: Provide manufacturing insights and recommendations to the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors, shaping investment decisions and corporate direction.

Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education, and Abilities

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, operations, or industrial engineering, with at least 7+ years in senior executive roles.

  • Proven track record in global manufacturing organizations within aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, or industrial technology sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and Industry 4.0 methodologies.

  • Expertise in P&L management, capital investments, and large-scale transformation programs.

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or MBA preferred.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional, multi-site, and international teams.

  • Executive presence with experience presenting to Boards, investors, and regulatory agencies.

Strategic Support

The SVP of Manufacturing serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive committee, ensuring that manufacturing not only delivers operational efficiency but also drives competitive differentiation. This includes:

  • Shaping long-term capacity expansion and modernization roadmaps.

  • Advising on capital allocation and M&A opportunities in the manufacturing space.

  • Partnering with R&D to accelerate new product industrialization.

  • Supporting enterprise-wide ESG goals by embedding sustainability and energy-efficiency practices into manufacturing operations.

Working Conditions

  • This role is remote with extensive global travel (estimated 10–15%) to oversee plants, innovation hubs, and supplier operations.

  • Requires flexibility to adapt to multi-time zone leadership demands.

  • Exposure to advanced manufacturing facilities, including environments with heavy machinery, robotics, and automated production systems.

  • Position carries executive visibility and high accountability, requiring resilience, precision, and strong decision-making under pressure.
