PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Enterprise Compliance Leadership: Lead global compliance programs, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Regulatory Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators, auditors, and legal authorities across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Policy Development: Oversee the design, implementation, and enforcement of compliance policies, codes of conduct, and governance frameworks.

  • Risk & Control Oversight: Monitor and mitigate risks across financial, data privacy, cybersecurity, and operational areas.

  • Training & Culture: Build a culture of compliance through enterprise-wide training programs, awareness initiatives, and accountability frameworks.

  • Monitoring & Reporting: Establish key compliance metrics and deliver executive reports to the CEO, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors.

  • Global Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Risk, Finance, and Technology leaders to embed compliance into all business decisions.

  • Crisis Management: Lead investigations and responses to compliance incidents, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures.

Qualifications, Special Knowledge, Education, and Abilities

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Regulatory Affairs, with at least 7+ years in executive leadership roles.

  • Proven success in financial services, fintech, banking, or other highly regulated global industries.

  • Deep expertise in SEC, FINRA, SOX, GDPR, AML/KYC, and data privacy frameworks.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management, internal controls, and regulatory reporting.

  • JD, MBA, or advanced degree in Law, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Professional certifications, such as CRCM, CCEP, CAMS, or their equivalent, are highly valued.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at the Board and regulator level while leading global compliance teams.

Strategic Support

The Vice President of Compliance acts as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors, ensuring compliance drives both protection and growth. Key contributions include:

  • Advising on M&A transactions, new market entries, and global expansion risks.

  • Guiding corporate decisions on regulatory investment and technology adoption.

  • Supporting enterprise ESG and sustainability disclosures with compliance oversight.

  • Providing proactive insight into emerging regulatory trends and global market risks.

Working Conditions

  • Remote role with occasional travel for regulatory meetings, executive board sessions, and compliance reviews.

  • Requires flexibility across global time zones to support international operations.
