About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Vice President of IT Operations to lead and elevate the operational performance, reliability, and scalability of our technology infrastructure. This executive-level role is critical in overseeing enterprise IT systems, driving digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring a secure, seamless, and future-ready technology environment across the organization.

As VP of IT Operations, you will be at the forefront of aligning IT strategies with business objectives, leading cross-functional teams, and optimizing IT services to support rapid growth and innovation. Your leadership will span infrastructure, cloud operations, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and service delivery—ensuring excellence across all aspects of IT operations.

This is a hybrid position based in New Jersey, with remote flexibility across the United States, ideal for an experienced technology leader with a strong background in scaling operations in fast-paced industries such as technology, financial services, or digital commerce.

Key Responsibilities

✅ IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute IT operations strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.

  • Lead and mentor distributed teams across infrastructure, cloud, security, and support.

  • Partner with the CIO and executive leadership to implement digital initiatives.

✅ Operational Excellence

  • Oversee network, systems, cloud, and application uptime across global operations.

  • Manage service delivery, ITIL processes, vendor partnerships, and SLAs.

  • Continuously improve processes, performance metrics, and customer satisfaction.

✅ Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Ensure data security, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with InfoSec leaders to implement proactive threat mitigation strategies.

✅ Budgeting & Resource Management

  • Manage multi-million-dollar IT budgets with focus on optimization and ROI.

  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and platforms for operational gains.

✅ Collaboration & Transformation

  • Drive organization-wide adoption of enterprise systems and cloud platforms.

  • Lead change management efforts for system upgrades and operational innovations.

  • Foster a culture of agility, reliability, and accountability within IT operations.

Qualifications

✔ 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior/executive role.
✔ Strong expertise in enterprise IT operations, cloud architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure scalability.
✔ Proven track record leading digital transformation and complex technology initiatives.
✔ Deep understanding of ITSM, ITIL, cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR).
✔ Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
✔ Experience working in dynamic industries such as technology, finance, or e-commerce is highly valued.
